Perusall has been a fantastic tool to improve student engagement with reading the text and provides me the opportunity to practice just-in-time instruction using the Confusion Report.

I teach literature classes to university undergraduates. For 25 years I struggled to figure out a way to get students to do the reading and engage with it in a meaningful way. Then I found Perusall, which has transformed how I teach. I cannot imagine teaching without Perusall now! Not only does it get the students talking to each other about the literature in a way that they would never do in the classroom, it lets me observe or join the conversations. Perusall lets me "see" their thought process in real time as they read, which in turn helps me know what to bring into the classroom for further discussion.

Perusall has transformed online discussions allowing students to interact with a variety of media while carrying on an enriching discussion through asking questions, commenting, and adding supporting links and media to their posts.

Perusall is hands down the most effective teaching tool I have for increasing community within my classes while also providing engagement and accountability.

Perusall is a wonderful tool to hold students accountable while also encouraging collaboration and deep dives into literature. The built-in rubrics are easily adjustable to what you skill sets you want to target. I highly recommend Perusall to all educators.

Perusall was a game-changer for me because it helps students to meaningfully engage with assigned texts. I assign a lot of scientific papers, which aren't exactly known as the easiest genre out there. Perusall brings students together during reading assignments in a powerful way to support learning outcomes. I have students bringing in outside materials, answering each others' questions - and posting lots of memes! I'm very grateful for the dynamic that Perusall brings to reading assignments.

Perusall has allowed me to focus on skill building with my students. I can focus on developing their critical thinking and critical reading skills as opposed to just requiring them to read. When they interact with other students on Perusall they are forced to think more deeply about the content and how to formulate their arguments and reasoning. Perusall also helps my students engage with class material when they might be shy about participating in a large class discussion. It allows them a way to dialogue about issues on their own time and to apply their thoughts to current events.

Perusall can help you revive the "lost art" of reading for your students.

By the way, my students overwhelmingly liked the peer review process with Perusall. One of my students just said that the experience with this assignment was the best part of the whole semester.

Here in the CISA department, we have fallen in love with the learning and engagement that Perusall provides! If we use a textbook on Perusall, students read and they engage. Their learning improves dramatically.

A high percentage of my students tell me that Perusall is the number one thing they think I should keep in the course for future semesters!

Perusall is an excellent tool to increase students' engagement with course material. As a tool, it is very easy to setup and I strongly encourage every instructor concerned about to try it. Highly recommended!
