Student study groups

Connect with peers in an informal, welcoming space to study materials, share ideas, and work on projects.

Setup:

Initial steps:

  • Create a Perusall book or journal club course for your study group or use our pre-made template. You can also copy this template with this course code: VAWHDN32HZ
  • Add a book from the Perusall Catalog or from your Purchases
  • Add additional content such as your own PDFs, videos, and more in your club library
  • Adjust language in your welcome message: Settings > General > welcome message

Perusall study group:

  • Manage your student study group members, keep notes on how your group is progressing, and track notifications on new conversations
  • Post announcements to help keep members engaged and on track
  • Go into the book and highlight text to add discussion prompts.
  • Use chats and discussions to keep up with other group members, and include hashtags in your conversations to more easily track conversations
  • Include a poll in the comments at the end of the book to survey group members and gain insights for your next study group

Invite others to your study group:

  • Invite members to your course using the Participant enrollment code located in Settings > Access or share with them your Participant enrollment URL.
